AUSDA-CON sperimentato all’IIS Cassata Gattapone di Gubbio
23 maggio 2025 – Oggi, presso l’Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Cassata Gattapone di Gubbio, si è tenuto il seminario “ANTARTIDE” che ha segnato la conclusione delle attività svolte nell’ambito del progetto AUSDA durante l’anno scolastico 2024-2025.
Ad essere protagonisti dell’evento sono stati alcuni studenti dell’indirizzo di elettronica ed elettrotecnica che hanno ideato e realizzato due strumenti che, grazie al supporto del personale del Programma Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide, sono stati istallati e testati durante l’ultima campagna, la 40esima del PNRA, presso la stazione Concordia in Antartide.
Gli studenti hanno realizzatoun sensore ambientale, progettato per monitorare in modo continuo alcuni parametri ambientali all’interno di una delle aree comuni della Base Concordia. Lo strumento raccoglie dati preziosi per analizzare e potranno essere utili per migliorare la qualità della vita all’interno della base, e un radio beacon che trasmette periodicamente un segnale in codice Morse. Il messaggio celebra i 130 anni dalla prima trasmissione radio di Guglielmo Marconi, unendo simbolicamente passato e futuro della comunicazione scientifica.
Entrambi i dispositivi rappresentano un esempio concreto di come la passione e l’impegno degli studenti possano contribuire alla ricerca e all’innovazione in ambienti estremi.
Per AUSDA questo evento ha mostrato il successo della fase sperimentale di una nuova attività rivolta alle scuole, AUSDA-CON, un concorso che a breve vedrà il lancio della prima edizione per l’anno scolastico 2025-2026.
Il concorso, dal titolo Alla scoperta dell’Antartide: le nuove tecnologie per una smart life e smart science in un ambiente estremo, sarà aperto a tutte le scuole italiane primarie e secondarie di primo e secondo grado.
Saranno ammessi elaborati di tipo letterario, artistico, multimediale e per le scuole secondarie di secondo grado anche di tipo tecnologico. Il miglior elaborato per ogni categoria e per ogni grado scolastico sarà premiato e installato e/o esposto nei locali delle stazioni italiane in Antartide.
