Di seguito i lavori realizzati da alcune delle scuole che hanno partecipato all’iniziativa AUSDA, Adotta Una Scuola Dall’Antartide.
Le scuole che hanno aderito all’iniziativa AUSDA hanno seguito un seminario tenuto da esperti ENEA e hanno avuto la possibilità di collegarsi in videoconferenza con il personale presente nelle stazioni italiane in Antartide, Mario Zucchelli, Concordia e sulla nave da ricerca oceanografica Laura Bassi. A conclusione del percorso didattico, alcuni studenti hanno svolto in classe un lavoro di rielaborazione dei concetti appresi che spesso ha portato alla realizzazione di elaborati grafici molto interessanti a cui volgiamo dare visibilità.
Nonostante le difficoltà legate alla pandemia da covid-19, siamo riusciti a portare avanti le attività 2020-2021 in oltre 30 scuole italiane. Alcune di esse hanno anche partecipato al Penguin Project, un’iniziativa organizzata nell’ambito dell’Australian Antarctic Festival, un evento biennale che celebra e fa incontrare tour operator, scienziati e istituzioni scientifiche che lavorano in Antartide.
Le scuole che hanno aderito al Penguin Project hanno partecipato alla realizzazione di un’area espositiva allestita ad Hobart in cui saranno mostrate le sagome di cartone degli oltre 8000 pinguini di Adelie colorati dagli studenti di tutto il mondo.
