Cinquanta progettidi ricerca su ecosistemi e clima e 210 tra tecnici e ricercatori nazionali e internazionali saranno i protagonisti della XXXIII Campagna estiva del Programma Nazionale di Ricerche in Antartide (PNRA), che parte ufficialmente oggi con l’apertura della stazione “Mario Zucchelli”.
La Campagna 2017-18, finanziata con 23 milioni di euro dal Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca e attuata dall’ENEA per gli aspetti logistici e dal CNR per la programmazione e il coordinamento scientifico, avrà una durata di 4 mesi e vedrà la partecipazione di ricercatori che svolgeranno attività di ricerca anche presso altre basi antartiche, nel clima di collaborazione internazionale che caratterizza la scienza in uno dei luoghi più remoti della Terra.
