L’iniziativa Adotta Una Scuola Dall’Antartide legata alla XXXVIII campagna italiana in Antartide 2022-2023 è iniziata con successo. Un successo che si rinnova ogni anno grazie alla disponibilità del personale in spedizione e grazie al corpo insegnanti e ai ragazzi che partecipano con entusiasmo e impegno. Il numero di richieste arrivate è elevatissimo e speriamo di essere in grado di accontentarle durante questo anno scolastico.
AUSDA è una iniziativa organizzata dall’Unità Tecnica Antartide dell’ENEA dedicata alle scuole primarie e secondarie di primo e di secondo grado, che prevede l’erogazione di un seminario tenuto da esperti ENEA e la possibilità di collegarsi in videoconferenza con il personale presente nelle stazioni italiane in Antartide, Mario Zucchelli, Concordia e con la nave da ricerca oceanografica Laura Bassi. Durante l’anno scolastico, le classi avranno l’opportunità dieffettuare un collegamento in videoconferenza con i ricercatori e i tecnici in missione. Gli eventi daranno l’opportunità ai ragazzi di comprendere come si vive e si lavora in un ambiente così estremo e di capire perché l’Antartide è così importante per la scienza.
Da quest’anno presso la Stazione Mario Zucchelli, dopo averlo sperimentato l’anno scorso, le scuole in collegamento vedranno una panoramica della base con più collegamenti in contemporanea, si inizierà dal nuovo acquario di MZS, dove i ricercatori presenteranno le attività e mostreranno alcuni esemplari pescati per studio, si prosegue poi con un passaggio di linea alla Sala Operativa, dove il personale presente illustrerà le attività svolte per gestire la base e, da parte dei previsori meteo, l’importanza delle previsioni meteo e la complessità di una previsione meteo in Antartide, al termine si collegheranno con la sala riunioni della base, dove i ricercatori attendono di rispondere alle domande dei ragazzi.
